Merry Watters

After a short battle with cancer, club member Merry Watters passed away March 18th at Kaiser Hospital with family members by her side. Merry had been an active member of Circulators since 2003. She and Bill Christian have been the Senior Representatives for the club for the past two years. Merry helped work on a number of the anniversary quilts. The little people she created for the border on the 2009 quilt were quite memorable. Her memorial service will be held April 17 at 11 AM at the La Mesa First United Methodist Church, 4690 Palm Avenue, La Mesa. There will be a reception in the social hall after the service. Our sympathy goes to Merry's children and grandchildren and Bill.

Bob Reid

Bob Reid died at home on March 13th in Santa Rosa, CA where he lived this past year with Robert & Gayle Reid. He was 88. The cause of death was complications of bile duct cancer, which he fought to the end. Bob was a member of Circulators since 2006, but he had danced with the club for many, many years. Visitation will be held at Reece Funeral Home, 607 E. 2nd Street, Ottumwa, IA on Friday, March 26, from 5 to 7 PM. His funeral service will be held Saturday, March 27 at 1 PM. Our sympathy goes to his family and their children.
